Cardboard (R)evolution

The Poetry of Paper Reimagined

In the hands of designers, even the most modest material can become extraordinary. Cardboard (R)evolution is a celebration of transformation a movement where pressed cardboard transcends its everyday roots to become a medium of sculptural beauty and ecological awareness.

It is a revolution whispered through curves, textures, and conscious choices. A transformation where sustainability meets beauty, and simplicity reveals unexpected depth.

Baleri Italia gives form to this vision through two iconic pieces: the Cartoons screen and the InBallo table.

Cartoons is a screen that moves like a ribbon in space. Designed by Luigi Baroli, it was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro. Its undulating profile, crafted from shaped and pressed cardboard, defines environments without closing them off.

Airy yet stable, modular yet expressive, it invites light to play on its surface while absorbing sound with tactile softness. It is design that speaks in quiet tones but leaves a lasting impression.

InBallo, conceived by the visionary designer Odo Fioravanti, reimagines the table as a sculpture of balance and purpose. Its legs, composed entirely of high-density pressed cardboard, rise from the ground with the grace of origami and the integrity of architectural elements. Engineered for strength, shaped for surprise, they support a refined tabletop, uniting innovation with poetic form.

This is more than material innovation. Cardboard (R)evolution is a new language of design one that honors the overlooked, finds elegance in the essential, and dares to ask: can what is temporary become timeless?

By embracing circularity and challenging convention, Baleri Italia proves that the future of design lies not only in what we create, but in how and from what we choose to create it.

A revolution, light as paper. And yet, powerful enough to change perspective.
