Matteo is a modular storage unit made of 100% recyclable steel sheet. Individual modules can be stacked or connected side by side using dedicated joints, allowing flexible configurations for storage or space division. Available in a range of colours and, upon request, with castors, it can also be used as a side table.
Matteo is a highly functional modular storage unit designed to bring a sense of ease and quiet joy into everyday use. Although made entirely from bent sheet metal, its soft geometry and rounded edges allow light to flow across the surface, giving Matteo a calm character. Geometric perforations and a continuous side slit introduce a technical layer to the form, subtly revealing the interior while maintaining visual lightness. Matteo is conceived as a flexible system — combinable and easy to reconfigure. Its proportions support multiple arrangements, encouraging modular compositions and color variations. The project is inspired by 1980s designs created for Baleri Italia, where functional clarity and a sense of optimism were combined with soft, approachable forms.

Each module can be easily stacked or connected sideways to other elements using a metal joint.
Four swivel casters are available on request only.
Matteo can also be used as a sidetable and it is available in the specified colours.

Designer
Mati Sipiora is a Polish industrial designer and doctor of arts, whose work merges tradition with contemporary design.
Growing up in his father’s metal workshop, he was surrounded by the sights, sounds, and smells of raw materials being shaped into functional objects.
Metal is a family tradition — a language passed down from generation to generation.
