Roundel

Round dining table

Claesson Koivisto Rune, 2018

Roundel is a round table with a central base with a glossy lacquered finish in red, white or black. The backpainted glass top features concentric circles in the same colours, in three different tones.

Roundel celebrates the eternal perfection of the circle, taking its form to multiple levels. The round top, divided into three distinct discs available in different colors, suggests three zones of use, adding a functional chromatic element to the geometric purity. Sculptural and almost artisanal in its presence, Roundel embodies a democratic and egalitarian vision of the world: the round table eliminates hierarchies, encouraging direct and open eye contact among all those present.
