A think tank for the brand's future

2024 marks an important anniversary for Baleri Italia: the celebration of its fortieth birthday, a long history that began in 1984. A symbolic moment that is also an opportunity to reflect deeply on the brand, on its past and, above all, on its future.

The Creative Advisory Board, coordinated by design critic Stefano Caggiano, was set up precisely to point the way forward. Composed of personalities from different professional backgrounds, the Board aims to outline a new perspective for Baleri Italia: a future of sustainable freedom for a design brand posing as a cultural agent.

In Caggiano’s own words: “today Baleri Italia finds itself in a unique position. The purpose and meaning of a brand like Baleri Italia (its “legitimacy”) lies in pursuing a unique and original “fringe” positioning and in the will to maintain open the source from which project-thinking stems: in other words, fostering the beating heart of design culture.”

The work of the Board is based on the development of Baleri Italia's dual identity, stemming from the combination of postmodernism and technical rationalism. It is at the heart of the new strategic direction that the concept of sustainable freedom takes shape. By combining formal purity and aesthetic attention, it gives substance to a light approach to design, both from a material and conceptual point of view, offering doubly sustainable solutions that integrate sense & sensibility in a perspective of mutual revitalisation, a lively dialogue between rationality and expressiveness that defines the identity of Baleri Italia in the strict sense and of Italian design culture in the broader sense.
